TeamFLC - Tampa

TeamFLC-Tampa provides the BEST Lacrosse Instruction in the greater Lithia/FishHawk area - Go Wolves!!!

Spring Schedule 2012

TAMPA - Spring 2012 - FishHawk Lacrosse Club

TeamFLC - where the focus is more on skills development and enjoyment of lacrosse than on the score or outcome. Sure we all want to win, but sucess is measure in more than wins or loses -  We have a smaller team environment with mature, experienced coaches that have worked with youth athletics for many years.   They know the value of teaching children teamwork and good sportsmanship.   Each player is treated fairly.  When they regularly attend practice, they will be playing every game. This way everyone is contributing in the teams success.  This fair play philosophy is perfect for promoting team chemistry, encouraging the boys to work together, while increasing self-esteem.

TeamFLC - where kids LEARN how to properly play the game of lacrosse. Players get to play rather than spending most of their practice waiting in long line drills. They get into the action and have FUN while learning the FUNdamentals of this great game.

TeamFLC - your son will have the opportunity to play every game, not just play only a portion.    If this sounds like the kind of experience you would love for your child, we invite you to join us at any of our practices - Come meet our players, coaches, and parents.   No worries, we have the equipment to loan you if you do not have any.

Come play!
Have fun!  Make new Friends!

Go FINS!!!

Some FAQ's...

Who is coaching your child???

Our staff is made up of players, coaches and officials who have years of experience at elite college programs which include Army, Navy, Syracuse, Salisbury, Limestone, Adelphi – no other program can offer the tradition of success that TeamFLC provides.

The coaching staff has a great understanding of how this game should be played and will teach your child in a progression based curriculum geared toward the beginner, intermediate and advanced player.

Your child’s well being is our top priority - our coaches are trained in First Aid & CPR and we are one of only a few programs with an A.E.D (Automated External Defibrillator) at every event.

Where do you practice and play games?

We practice and play at Pinecrest Elementary School - this is one of the finest lacrosse facilities in the Tampa Bay area. We enjoy full access to the facility from January - June and share it with the Pinecrest Pilots Youth Football & Cheerleading during the summer & fall. The facility has 3 lighted fields with 12 lacrosse goals.

Is there a waiting list for registration?

No waiting lists - so tell your family, friends and neighbors to come join us - with 10+ experienced coaches on staff we never turn away a kid that wants to learn how to play.

Do I have to rent equipment?

No equipment rentals - we loan you what you need and trust you return it at the end of the season.

How many hours do I need to volunteer?

No mandatory volunteer hours for parents - parents that are willing and able will offer their time to help out.

Do I need to stay at every practice?

You are always welcome, but you do have the option of dropping off your child and then promptly picking them up at the end of the session.

What if my child gets injured or sick and I am not there?

We have all the kids emergency contact info with us at every event - practice & games.

How are we different from other lacrosse programs?

Coaches, Teachers, Educators...

Good or Great?

Somewhere, someone is practicing…

And when you meet them on the field…

At that face-to-face… one-on-one moment… they will beat you.

Unless that someone practicing is YOU!

So work the off hand with WALL BALL, hit the jump rope and run the sprints.

Give it everything you've got, every day.

And when you feel tired, or feel like quitting, ask yourself this…

Is the other guy tired?

Is he quitting?
