Our overnight camp at Stetson University in Deland, FL is a true INSTRUCTIONAL Camp designed with a specific instructional curriculum based upon the campers age and experience.
We provide only the finest teachers, coaches and instructors for Boys & Girls Lacrosse - professionals that have a strong background working with kids in a safe, fun, educational environment.

Camp Skills & Concepts - Sample # 1
It is early in the season, but we have noticed a few things in the High School and Middle School practices and scrimmages that call for improvement.
First Step Explosion - many kids are playing at a pace that is just not quick enough. To play the better teams, the first step is crucial in getting space, creating separation and to get your hands free. You must set up your dodges, jab step, stop and explode out with a C.O.D (change of direction) - Come learn the secret to success at Stetson Camp (Secret #1 - it's all about the stopping).
Slickness - Where are the hitch and go's, the hitch and face dodge, the drive down the alley, bounce out and re-dodge, the rocker at the G.L.E. (goal line extended) then taking the defender to the 5 & 5 Island with a box fake to the inside roll? Come to Stetson Camp and learn these moves from the BEST coaches and players in the game. (Secret #2 - it's all about the triple threat)
Defense - Foot work needs work. Too many players are giving up the top side, not breaking down on close outs and using their hips to explode back to the hub once the ball is moved. Instead of closing the gate and squeezing the opponent down the alley they try and beat them to each spot. LEAVE HOME RUN CHECKS ALONE - play good position defense. Get the "tools" to become a dominant defender at Stetson Camp this Summer! (Secret #3 - defense is all about controlling the hands & hips)

Andy Sinclair, Winter Park native and Mens Head Coach at Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA has been added to our Camp Staff for Summer 2012!
Rollins College Womens Lacrosse staff coming back to Stetson Camp for 2012
Head Coach Dennis Short and Associate Head Coach Tom Kienle will be our Featured Girls Staff members for 2012. Rollins College former and current womens lacrosse players will also be at camp!
Stetson Boys Camp has TeamFLC alum, NCAA All-American & University of Tampa Coach on Camp Staff
Midfielder Mike Von Kamecke (Bishop Moore/Winter Park, Fla.) an NCAA 3X Lacrosse All-American and 2X National Champion for Salisbury University - Maryland is the current Offensive Coordinator for Tampa University will be one of our Featured Boys Coaches for 2012.
Goalie School
A Specialized Goalie Training Program within the camp at Goalie School. Individual attention and instruction from some of the best goalie coaches in the country for Boys & Girls! This is not a camp where goalies are "shooting targets" - We TEACH, INSTRUCT, COACH the Goalies with Individual and small group work.

Safety & Supervision
The Florida Lacrosse Camp staff & Stetson University Security Department supervises campers for the entire duration of camp. The staff will reside in the dormitories with the campers to provide supervision at all times.
